You can download ports tree view for the specific date when required Perl version was available in ports. If you use cvsup to update ports tree then you can specify the exact date in ports-supfile. For example, Perl version was upgraded to 5.8.8 near Feb, 20 2006, so that you can download tree for previous dates, like Feb 15:

*default base=/var/db
*default prefix=/usr
*default release=cvs tag=.
*default delete use-rel-suffix compress
*default date=2006.

Run the following command to update the ports tree:
# cvsup -g /etc/ports-supfile
# cd /usr/ports/
# make index

Then compile Perl 5.8.7:
# cd /usr/ports/lang/perl5.8
# make clean
# make build

# make test

Then stop Plesk, deinstall Perl 5.8.8 and install 5.8.7
# /usr/local/psa/rc.d/psa stop
# pkg_delete -f perl-5.8.8
# make reinstall
# /usr/local/psa/rc.d/psa start
