When a domain on a dedicated IP with a certificate installed in the domain's certificate repository is migrated over to another server (also a dedicated IP), the following error is reported after the migration is finished:
Execution of /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/api-cli/ipmanage.php -u 10.xx.xx.xx -ssl_certificate_ref 96eb5a823e8baefb596072016e4bf20d failed with return code 1.
Stderr is
Certificate does not exist.
As a result, the IP on the destination server has the default Parallels Plesk Panel (PP) certificate assigned to it.

SSL certificates installed in the server's certificate repository on the source PP are not migrated to the destination server with Plesk Migration Manager. However, SSL certificates installed in the domain's certificate repository are migrated correctly.

In order to resolve the issue, we recommend migrating the SSL certificate and associating it with the IP address, manually:
  1. Go to Tools & Utilities > SSL certificates > Add SSL certificate > Upload certificate as text.
  2. Upload the required certificate.
  3. Refer to Tools & Utilities > IP addresses > <ip_address_goes_here>  (dedicated) and change the SSL certificate from default to the new one.
NOTE: IP address should be dedicated. Otherwise, all domains on this IP address will use this certificate.

This problem is completely fixed in version 10.3 and later versions.

Additional information

The issue with SSL certificate migration may also be encountered in the 9.x version of PP.
