Unable to remove log files in Domains > > Log Manager: log files as not selectable (grayed out). Therefore, they cannot be deleted.

Log files cannot be removed from Plesk unless they are zipped/compressed/processed by the statistics module/daily maintenance script. So, only compressed/processed files can be marked and removed.

  1. Go to Domains > > Log Manager and set Log Rotation preferences as follows:

    • Switch log rotation on if it was set to off.
    • Set the log rotation condition to the maximum chain of log files.
    • Set the compression settings for the log files.
  2. If the log rotation condition is set to rotate log files by reaching the specified size, wait until log files outgrow this size so it could be processed. Or, run log processing manually:

    # /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/statistics --calculate-one

    C:\Program Files(x86)\Parallels\Plesk\admin\bin>statistics.exe
  3. If the log rotation is set to rotate logs on a daily basis, wait until the next rotation time. Or, use the same command from point 2.

  4. After log files are processed, they can be removed.
