Some Parallels Plesk Panel command-line tools can return errors due to incorrect names of files and directories. For example, Plesk Panel backup utility can fail with the folowing error:

invalid name 'username'

Parallels Plesk Panel stores all user information in directories like '.../clients/username./...'. In the given example, the error occurred due to the usage of the dot symbol at the end of the username. Although the underlying file system may support such names, the Windows shell and user interface does not.
