You are evaluating Parallels Server 5 Bare Metal in a virtualized environment. You perform the following steps to set up the environment:
  1. Install Parallels Server 5 Bare Metal on the physical server.
  2. Create a virtual machine.
  3. Install Parallels Server 5 Bare Metal in the virtual machine.
  4. Create a virtual machine in Parallels Server Bare Metal that is installed in the virtual machine.
  5. Install a guest OS in the virtual machine.
Now you try to access other computers on the network from the guest OS but cannot connect to them.

To enable network in the virtual machine, run the following command in the virtual machine with Parallels Server 5 Bare Metal (you created this virtual machine in steps 2 and 3 above):

# prlctl set VM_Name --device-set VM_NIC --macfilter no

where VM_Name is the name of the affected virtual machine and VM_NIC denotes the virtual adapter in this virtual machine.
