Mail autoresponder in Parallels Panel for Windows stops responding after some time once configured. After the mail server restart, it may resume working but will fail again after some time.

The Debug log contains the following events which are logged when a new message appears:

Data type mismatch in criteria expression.
   at (VADOConnection::execute line 90)
   at Message processor(MessageProcessor::run line 28)
Execute file name: D:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\bin\plesksrv.exe


Mail autoresponder is configured to respond only to a limited number of incoming messages per day, and it is configured to store information about a limited amount of recipients. Once the limit is reached, Parallels Panel is unable to store further information and holds a response.


To resolve this issue, these further actions can be performed:

1. Increase the limit of the number of unique recipients registered for the autoresponder via Parallels Panel UI.
2. Purge the current list of the unique recipients registered for the autoresponder as below:
>"%plesk_bin%\dbclient" --direct-sql --sql="select count(*) from resp_freq where rn_id = <rn_id>"

where rn_id is the autoresponder identificator which could be gathered from the properties of the autoresponder page in UI.
