1. Topic:

   This update for Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.6 update provides support for assigning IPv6 addresses to containers,
   running Citrix XenApp 6 in containers, and using Netcraft for auditing containers. It also includes a number of stability fixes.

2. Problem description:

   The update introduces the following new features and improvements: 
   • IPv6 support, including traffic shaping and accounting, for containers running the following:
     - Windows Server 2008 
     - Windows Server 2008 R2
   • Support for using Citrix XenApp 6 in containers
   • Support for using Netcraft to audit containers as separate PCs
   • Fix for the "vzctl start" command that might fail with the following error:
       Starting container ... 
       ERROR: Unable to add Route entry  
       ERROR: Unable to initialize host network configuration for CT adapter 'venet0' (CT=CTID) 
       ERROR: Setting up adapter failed, Err=0x00000001 (Container CTID,netif0) 
       ERROR: Container CTID executing @VzSetGatewayAddrIpv6 returned 0x00000490 
       ERROR: Can't set IPv6 gateway (Conatiner CTID, netif0) 
       Container is mounted 
       Container was started
   • Fix for the Initial Configuration Task application that might report a non-activated status in containers
   • Fixes for a number of stability issues

5. Known issues and limitations:

   • IPv6 support is not provided for containers running Windows Server 2003.  
   • Parallels Power Panel does not support managing containers with IPv6 addresses (#PVCA-180).

7. Obtaining and installing the update:

On the Hardware Node, run the Parallels Virtuozzo Containers Update wizard (vzupdate.exe), and follow the on-screen instructions. This wizard will install the latest Parallels Virtuozzo Containers updates and hotfixes. You can also install this update manually.
