After a successful backup, you did not receive a notification mail and found the following in the log files:

Select the "Activate this backup" task check box and specify the following:
E-mail notification on backing up errors. If you want to send an e-mail notice when something goes wrong during the backup process, type the e-mail address you need.
It means that if the scheduled backup succeeded, no e-mail will be sent because scheduled backup tasks are removed if succeeded - pmmcli_daemon can send e-mail only for existing tasks.
