Symptom

I don't know how to install SSL certificate for Parallels Virtual Automation Power Panel.

Resolution

It is possible to use a custom SSL certificate for PVA Power Panel, which is accessible over https://container_ip:4643, and for PVA Management Node, which is accessible over https://ip_of_pva_management_node:4648.

Power Panel

Linux

Follow these steps to install a custom SSL certificate for PVA Power Panel:

  1. Log in to Parallels Virtuozzo Containers or Parallels Server Bare Metal or Parallels Cloud Server server shell.

  2. Generate the SSL key and the SSL certificate or upload the certificate you obtained from the certificate authority.

  3. Put YourServer.key and YourServer.crt to corresponding Apache folders:

    cp YourServer.key /etc/httpd/conf/ssl.key/server.key
    cp YourServer.crt /etc/httpd/conf/ssl.crt/server.crt
    
  4. Restart Apache:

    apachectl restart
    

Windows

Follow these steps to install a custom SSL certificate for PVA Power Panel: 1. log in to Parallels Virtuozzo Containers Hardware Node via RDP.

  1. Generate the SSL key and the SSL certificate or upload the certificate you obtained from the certificate authority.

  2. In IIS, go to "PVA Power Panel Plesk Integration Web Site" -> Bindings -> Edit https -> choose the required certificate

Management Node

Linux

Follow these steps to install a custom SSL certificate for PVA Management Node:

  1. Log in to the PVA Management Node server shell.

  2. Generate the SSL key and the SSL certificate or upload the certificate you obtained from the certificate authority.

  3. Put YourServer.key and YourServer.crt to corresponding Apache folders:

    cp YourServer.key /etc/httpd/conf/ssl.key/server.key
    cp YourServer.crt /etc/httpd/conf/ssl.crt/server.crt
    
  4. Restart Apache:

    apachectl restart
    
  5. Access PVA Management Node via HTTPS://PVA_MN_IP:4648 to verify that changes have been applied.

Windows

Follow these steps to install a custom SSL certificate for PVA Management Node:

  1. Log in to the PVA Management Node via RDP

  2. Generate the SSL key and the SSL certificate or upload the certificate you obtained from the certificate authority.

  3. In IIS, go to "PVA Control Center Web Site" -> Bindings -> Edit https -> choose the required certificate

  4. Access PVA Management Node via HTTPS://PVA_MN_IP:4648 to verify that changes have been applied.
