Symptoms

When you try to send e-mail trough Horde Web Mail you receive following error message:
 
critical system file missing (72)
 
In Horde logs you see following errors:
 
#tail -100 /var/log/psa-horde/psa-horde.log :

Cause

This usually indicates that /usr/sbin/sendmail is corrupted or setup incorrect.

Resolution

For Qmail provider:
 
This file /usr/sbin/sendmail must be setup as as symbolic link to file /etc/alternatives/mta
 
If you anything else you should perform following set of actions:
 
# mv /usr/sbin/sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmailold
# ln -s /etc/alternatives/mta /usr/sbin/sendmail
 
For Postfix:
 
# аlternatives --set mta /usr/sbin/sendmail.postfix
