Symptoms

Cannot log in to Parallels Plesk Panel. It sticks after clicking the "Log in" button. Every attempt to log in creates a separate process, "filwrpr":

-bash-3.2# ps aux | grep filwrpr
root 2038 0.0 0.0 49260 2476 ? S Jul28 0:00 /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/filwrpr 11
root 3143 0.0 0.0 49260 2484 ? S Jul28 0:00 /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/filwrpr 12
root 3248 0.0 0.0 49260 2480 ? S Jul28 0:00 /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/filwrpr 28
root 8121 0.0 0.0 49260 2480 ? S Jul28 0:00 /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/filwrpr 60
...
root 25862 0.0 0.0 49260 2480 ? S 04:08 0:00 /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/filwrpr 95
root 25912 0.0 0.0 49260 2476 ? S 04:23 0:00 /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/filwrpr 44
root 25959 0.0 0.0 49260 2484 ? S 04:38 0:00 /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/filwrpr 40

These processes are consuming all available resources and causing "out of memory" errors on the Node.

Additional information

Plesk is installed on Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.0 or an earlier version with Concerto license support and VZAIproxy installed.

Cause

Support for VZAIproxy was dropped after v. 10.0. VZAIproxy was used in installed templates on a Hardware Node from within VPS. The filewrpr process is used to verify the Concerto license and fails.

Workaround

As a workaround, add a Concerto entry in /etc/vzlinkmgr.conf on the Hardware Node:
1=/usr/sbin/concerto

Resolution

To solve the issue, update your current installation to 10.4.4 MU #19.
