Symptoms

After upgrading to Plesk 10.4.4 from a previous version (e.g., 9.x), backup fails with the following error:

Line 482 error: Element 'grey-listing': [facet 'enumeration'] The value '0' is not an element of the set {'on', 'off'}.
Line 482 error: Element 'grey-listing': '0' is not a valid value of the local atomic type.
Line 1087 error: Element 'grey-listing': [facet 'enumeration'] The value '0' is not an element of the set {'on', 'off'}.
Line 1087 error: Element 'grey-listing': '0' is not a valid value of the local atomic type.
Line 1233 error: Element 'grey-listing': [facet 'enumeration'] The value '0' is not an element of the set {'on', 'off'}.

While validating the dump, you may see the following error:

# xmllint --noout --schema /usr/local/psa/PMM/plesk.xsd /var/lib/psa/dumps/parallels_backup_info_1202140315.xml

Cause

In Plesk 9.x, greylisting settings in the database are set as "0" for the turned-off feature and "1" for switched-on. The dom_param table holds the values "0" and "1" for gl_filter, while in Plesk 10.x, these values are set as "off" and "on." During the upgrade procedure, the "1" values were replaced by "on" ones, but "0"s stayed zeroes. After a backup was made, Plesk checked its integrity, encountered zeroes where it expected to discover "off"s, and marked the whole backup as invalid.

Resolution

To solve this issue, run the following query in your database:

mysql> update dom_param set val = 'off' where param = 'gl_filter' and val = '0';
Query OK, 298 rows affected (0.02 sec)
Rows matched: 298  Changed: 298  Warnings: 0

After that, you should be able to create backups without encountering any problems.
