  1. While trying to replace an IP address on the Plesk server using Knowledge Base article KB #943, the following error appears:

    [root@~]# /usr/local/psa/bin/ /usr/local/psa/bin/network.txt
Adding eth1 no such network interface.
    /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/ifmng --add eth1 exited with non-zero code 256`
  2. Output of the ifconfig is as follows:

    [root@~]# ifconfig eth0
    eth0 Link encap:Ethernet Hardware Adresse 00:50:56:BD:00:0C
inet Adresse: Bcast: Maske: inet6 Adresse: fe80::250:56ff:febd:c/64 Gültigkeitsbereich:Verbindung UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1

    TX packets:985214 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
    Kollisionen:0 Sendewarteschlangenlänge:1000
RX bytes:1346717188 (1.2 GiB) TX bytes:69808814 (66.5 MiB)` It seems that it cannot be parsed by /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/ifmng.

The root cause of such behavior is that a non-English locale is being used on the server.

  1. Run the following command to set English locale for current session:

    # export LANG=C
  2. Try to execute once again.
