SymptomsUnable to browse any domain hosted on Parallels Plesk Panel server. Browser displays the error:

couldn't connect to host
CauseNginx or Apache service is stopped.
ResolutionSince Plesk 11.0 Nginx can be installed as reverse proxy server in front of Apache. Nginx process is running on ports 80 and 443. It accepts all HTTP(s) requests and forwards it to Apache which is running on ports 7080 and 7081.

Check the status of the Nginx and Apache services at the Services Management page in Plesk Control Panel:
Tools & Settings > Services Management.
If the Nginx service is shown as running, it is necessary to check the status of the Nginx service from the server:
# /etc/init.d/nginx status
nginx is stopped
If it is stopped, start it with the command:
# /etc/init.d/nginx start
Starting nginx: [ OK ]
