  • Plesk 12.0 for Linux

Release Notes

To simplify Plesk 12.0/12.5 provisioning for cloud infrastructure providers (including service providers offering dedicated servers, VPS, or IaaS), Plesk introduces Plesk ISO images.

The ISO images based on CentOS and Ubuntu, 32-bit and 64-bit, are available here:

Plesk 12.5 ISO images
Plesk 12.0 ISO images

Steps to Deploy

  1. Burn the ISO image to a disc (for dedicated servers) or mount the ISO image to a virtual drive (for virtual machines) and boot from this image.

  2. Upon its first reboot after OS installation, Plesk will be installed in the background.

If you are not able to directly boot the first CD, the file sbm.bin that is available in /install directory of the image may be useful to you because your BIOS may be too old and may not support ISOLINUX.

Then, instead of booting on the CD directly, please create a Smart Boot Manager floppy image by using the sbm.bin disk image. You can create this floppy with rawrite (under DOS) or with dd (under Linux). Now you can boot on this floppy disk and it will detect your CDROM and let you boot on it bypassing any BIOS limitation.

  3. Please read the online Administrator's Guide for additional details. Deployment Guide could be also useful.

NOTE:  For Ubuntu we recommend to disable AppArmor and rebooting the server after finishing the Plesk installation.

Known issues:

In case the first terminal login to the Ubuntu 14.04 server was performed after Plesk had been installed, then the Welcome message (MOTD) would show that Plesk is still being installed, even though the installation had already finished. Following login attempts would show correct information regarding the Plesk installation status.
