In the PVA log, there are resource usage alert messages about the counter_memory_share_used resource:

T=03:00:28:158; L=(inf); PID=18473; TID=7feff6ed7760; P=VZLAlertManagerLocal [timeoutEvent] Send resource alert type 2 eid a281c924-7962-7f4a-94d8-54b1da853c1b counter counter_memory_share_used (cur=85, hard=95, soft=85)

What does this message mean and how do I get rid of it?

This message means that either the yellow_alerts_threshold or red_alerts_threshold has been reached for the container memory limit.

In order to get rid of these messages, either change the alert threshold values or increase container memory limits:

  1. Change the yellow_alerts_threshold and red_alerts_threshold values as per this article:

    How to change resource alerts threshold values for PVA

  2. To change container memory limits, use PVA Control Center, Parallels Management Console, or command line tools:

    On Windows:

    vzctl set CTID --save --vprvmem MEMLIMIT

    (MEMLIMIT is in megabytes)

    On Linux:

    vzctl set CTID --save --ram MEMLIMIT --swap SWAPLIMIT

    (MEMLIMIT/SWAPLIMIT is in bytes, but K,M,G,T suffixes are also understood)
