In some cases, the Hardware Node may be attached to several networks, and a container on the node may be attached to some of these different networks.

Proper routing for the container could be set up either manually by adding static routes or automatically.

In order to set up routing automatically, it is necessary to enable network masks on host-routed interfaces:

~# grep USE_VENET_MASK /etc/sysconfig/vz

After that, it is necessary to restart Virtuozzo and Virtuozzo network services:

~# service vz restart
~# service vznetcfg restart

NOTE: All containers will be restarted during this operation!

Containers will now recognize network masks and will set up proper routing automatically.

~# vzctl set 100 --ipadd --save
~# vzctl set 100 --ipadd --save
~# vzctl exec2 100 ip r l dev venet0 proto kernel scope link src dev venet0 proto kernel scope link src dev venet0 scope link metric 1002
default dev venet0 scope link
