IP address removed from Parallels Plesk Panel interface reappears in the output of ifconfig command after server is rebooted or network service is restarted.

Configuration file for network interface alias (e.g. eth0:1) is not removed from /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts directory.

Problem is affecting only Plesk servers installed on CentOS, RedHat Enterprise Linux and SuSE. Ubuntu and GNU/Debian use different network configuration tools and are not affected.

This issue will be fixed in future update to Parallels Plesk Panel.

After IP address is removed through Parallels Plesk Panel, connect to the server by SSH, find and remove configuration file manually:

[root@pp11 ~]# grep /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg*
[root@pp11 ~]# rm -f "/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0:1"
