- Access to Adobe ColdFusion administrator page (http://127.0.0.1/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm) produces HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error
- Accessing ColdFusion scripts on the website produces HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error
This problem may be caused if Adobe ColdFusion for 32 bit systems is installed on 64 bit server and IIS application pool does not allow running 32 bit applications.
To allow 32 bit application to work, application pool should support 32 bit applications. By default, Plesk configures sites' application pools to support 32 bit applications, however ColdFusion administrative interface is working on DefaultAppPool which is not managed by Plesk and has 32 bit application support disabled by default.
To enable 32 bit application support, go to IIS Manager → Application Pools → DefaultAppPool → right-click and choose Advanced Settings... → set Enable 32-bit Applications to true
If problem is affecting ColdFusion scripts on the website, apply same actions to site's application pool (default shared application pool is plesk(default)(2.0)(pool))
