A domain/subdomain has been created with the document root pointing to the sub-directory of a previously nonexistent directory (e.g.,
/hosting/domain.test). However, after the domain/subdomain is removed, only the
/hosting/domain.test directory has been removed. The
/hosting directory in the virtual host had been left untouched.
This is the correct behavior. Plesk allows the creation of additional domains and subdomains that have their document root directories in the subdirectories of the subscription's main virtual host. For example, it is possible to define the document root for a subdomain to be in
/httpdocs/sub.domain.test. If Plesk was removing all parent directories of the subdomain's document root, then the directory
httpdocs would have been removed too.
When an additional domain or subdomain is removed from a subscription, only the document root directory itself is removed. Parent directories are not removed.
