You need to enable the messaging feature in Virtuozzo Control Center (VZCC) and set up the
mail relay server. Please log in to VZCC as the "vzagent0" user: https://Service_VE_IP:4643/vz/cp
(where "Service_VE_IP" is the IP address of the Service VE on a node)

1. Go to Configure > Messaging, check the check-box:
[ ] Enable Email Notifications
and enter the required email addresses in "System Email Account." 2. Go to Hardware Node > Configuration > Email and Notifications and enter the IP address of the mail relay server into the "Relay Server IP Address" field. After that, it will be possible to restore the password using the "Forgot your password?" link.
If you do not have a VZCC license, you may enable messaging via manual editing of the /etc/vzcp/vzcpcon.conf file inside the Service VE on a node. Please open that file in any text editor, and find this section (it should be at the end of the file):
<!-- Messaging -->

Change "false" to "true" in the <enabled> tag and fill in the other parameters:
system name/email - VZCC will send a email notifications from this email account;
admin name/email - Virtuozzo will send administering notifications to this email account.

The IP address of the email relay server can be set up in the /etc/exim/exim.conf file inside the Service VE into this section ( in this example):
# *** DON'T REMOVE/CHANGE this commented section,
# it's need by vzagent to correctly add smart relay to specified address
driver = manualroute
transport = remote_smtp
route_list = !+local_domains

Please do not forget to restart vzcp service inside the Service VE after you have corrected the files:
# service vzcp stop
# service vzcp start

A more detailed description of the procedure is described in the Virtuozzo 3.0 Installation Guide, "Setting VZCC/VZPP to Work" chapter, "Configuring Mail for VZCC/VZPP" section, pages 50-51.
