Synopsis:         New Parallels Cloud Server 6.0 update provides stability fixes.
Issue date:       2013-07-01
Product:           Parallels Cloud Server 6.0
Keywords:        "stability" "usability"
1. What's Included in This Update
The new packages for Parallels Cloud Server 6.0 provide fixes for backups and
Parallels Cloud Storage.
2. Problem Description
The new packages contain fixes for the following issues:
- Unnecessary warnings in Parallels Cloud Storage logs if the number of CSes is
higher than the number of required replicas (#PSBM-20472).
- Parallels service becomes unresponsive when trying to merge old backup
snapshots. Also, if a virtual machine has a disk named
"<dir_name>.hdd/<disk_name>.hdd," the backed up snapshots remain unmerged after
  backup (#PSBM-20611).
- Graceful shutdown of a node causes relocation of its resources (#PSBM-20698).
- Space overusage due to MDS not recognizing overcommited chunks (#PSBM-20893).

- A denial of service flaw was found in a sending message with a specific
socket option set. A local unprivileged user could use this flaw to crash the
system, resulting in DoS. (CVE-2013-2224) (#PSBM-20912).
This flaw is not remotely exploitable and requires local login.
All Parallels Cloud Server 6.0 users are advised to update their tools packages.
3. Obtaining Update
You can download and install this tools update using the "yum" utility
included in the Parallels Cloud Server 6.0 distribution.
