When I try to transfer a domain with a database to Parallels Plesk using Home > Tools & Settings > Migration & Transfer Manager, the database restoration fails with an error:

ERROR: (domain object 'domain.tld') Failed deployment of database domain_joomla25 (domain domain.tld)
ERROR: () Unable to deploy database content. Please try to restore it manually from the archive domains\domain.tld\databases\domain_joomla25_1[sqldump]:
Execution of "C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\MySQL\bin\/mysql" --no-defaults -u joomla25 -h localhost -P 3306 domain_joomla25 failed with return code -1.

As a workaround, you can export the database using Webadmin on the source server and import it to the destination server:

  1. Go to the following location in Parallels Plesk on the source server: Domains > domain.tld > Databases > database_name > Webadmin > choose database_name > Webadmin > database_name > Export > Format: SQL. Save the output to your local workstation.

  2. Go to the following location in Parallels Plesk on the destination server: Subscriptions > domain.tld > Websites & Domains > Databases > database_name > Webadmin > database_name > Import > choose database_path

Upon restoring from a backup the database was empty and the ftp password and database password had been changed
