If you have Plesk Panel 11.0.9 with Micro-Update #57 or higher installed or Plesk Panel 10.4.4 with Micro-Update #54 or higher installed, you can't create a new domain. The following error message occurs:

Error: system user update is failed: open_basedir_with_nofollow: opeat failed: `www', Too many levels of symbolic links chrootmng: cannot create directory "/srv/www/vhosts/domain.tld/dir": Too many levels of symbolic links

The vhosts location (variable HTTPD_VHOSTS_D) has been changed using symlink and not with the utility.

Change the vhosts location with using the utility. More details can be found in this KB article: #1186
