When I try to create a domain in Plesk, I get the error
"Cannot commit configuration changes because the file has changed on disk": Error message or request description : Error: WebServerManager::addVhost() failed: websrvmng failed: Filename: \\?\C:\Windows\system32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config Error: Cannot commit configuration changes because the file has changed on disk In module Exception type: System.IO.FileLoadException at Microsoft.Web.Administration.Interop.AppHostWritableAdminManager.CommitChanges() at Microsoft.Web.Administration.ConfigurationManager.CommitChanges() at Microsoft.Web.Administration.ServerManager.CommitChanges() at ServerManagerFactory.commit() at IIS7ServerManager.commit(IIS7ServerManager* )
The root cause of the issue has to do with the McAfee antivirus program.
- IIS is busy with some process. For example, someone is performing changes in IIS at the same time that you are trying to create a domain in Plesk.
Please add the "
%plesk_dir%" (for example,
D:\Parallels\Plesk\) folder and subfolders and "
C:\Windows\system32\inetsrv\config\" to the McAfee On-Access scan Exclusions.
- Check that IIS is not busy with another process, and try to restart IIS.
