While working in Parallels Web Presence Builder (WPB) and attempting to save a site snapshot or add a widget, WPB Presence Builder returns an error:

Unable to connect to Parallels Web Presence Builder Server. Please contact your administrator.

An error is also shown in the /var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log log file:

FastCGI-stderr: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 42223355 bytes) in /usr/local/sb/include/SB/Site/Snapshot.php on line 197

WPB needs more memory to save the site snapshot than is currently allowed by the control panel web server configuration.

  1. Back up the file /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/php.ini:

    cp /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/php.ini /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/php.ini_backup
  2. Open the file for editing and increase the memory_limit value (for example, from 128M to 256M):

    memory_limit = 256M
  3. Save the file and restart the psa service:

    /etc/init.d/psa restart
