I am trying to install a license on a Virtuozzo containers node, but it fails with the following error:

Using an exported license file:

~# vzlicload -f VZ.00111111.0024
Processing file "VZ.00111111.0024"
Can't install license(s): license VZSRV XXXX.XXXX.XXXX.XXXX.XXXX.XXXX.XXXX.XXXX is INVALID - Incorrect HWID

Using its activation code:

Processing product key "XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX"...
Start activation for code XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX... *
Connecting to the KA server *
Sending request *
Receive data Can't activate this code - License key VZ.00111111.0024 is already activated

  1. Check the name of the currently loaded kernel. This name must contain stab in the suffix:

    ~# uname -r

Reboot the server to the latest installed Virtuozzo kernel if the currently used kernel does not contain the stab word.

  2. Check the current Hardware ID (HWID) of the node in question.

See this article: 2086 How to get the Hardware ID (HWID) of Virtuozzo containers Hardware Node.

  3. Contact your sales representative in order to update the current license key's information with the appropriate HWID.

The HWID is the unique identifier of a node where Virtuozzo containers is installed.

Each Virtuozzo containers license is bound to a specific HWID. As a result, in order to install a Virtuozzo containers license, the real HWID of the node should match the information on the license key stored on the Odin Key Administrator server (KA Server).
