Can I use SNMP services to monitor the usage of CPU, memory, disk space and network? Is there any documentation about using such services with Parallels products?

SNMP services can be used to monitor Linux and Windows-based Parallels hardware nodes. Please refer to Parallels Virtual Automation Administrator's Guide for details:

Managing and Monitoring Container Resources

Note: to use the functionality it is necessary to additionally install the SNMP component of the PVA Agent, the component is not installed by default during initial PVA Agent setup:

  • on Linux:

    • Install 'net-snmp' package on the node
    • Install SNMP component: "# pva-setup --install -c SNMP" or "# pva-setup" to select the component manually
  • on Windows:

Start->All Programs->Parallels->Parallels Virtual Automation->Launch PVA Setup Utility->on the 'Choose Maintenance Type' page select 'Add/Remove Product Components'->Select SNMP
