In a PVC container, when you use the Search feature in Outlook, nothing is returned in your search results even though there are email messages in your mailbox that match the search criteria.
This problem can occur if the file Mapiph.dll is missing from your computer.
This DLL should be present in container:
\vz\root\$CTID\C\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14
or in the Office Template in case it is used for containers:
\vz\Templates\Office_templ\root\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14
To resolve this problem, repair your Office installation:
- Start Control Panel.
- Under Programs, click Uninstall a program. (Note, you will Not be uninstalling Office)
- Select your Office installation and click Change.
- In the Office installation dialog box, click Repair and then click Continue.
- When the repair process is finished, click Finish.
For templates, use "Modify an existing template" option of PVC Template Creation Wizard and follow the same steps in the temporary container.
NOTE: Repairing the template doesn't fix the issue for existing containers, based on the template. It is required either to follow the same steps inside the containers or reinstall the template in them.
