Attempt to use "Forgot your password?" link on Plesk login screen on Windows server fails with generic error "Permission denied".


This issue has been considered as software issue #PPPM-1241 and will be fixed in future product updates.


Obtain current Admin password using the following command in CLI:

"%plesk_bin%\plesksrvclient.exe" -get

Or reset Admin password using the following command:

"%plesk_bin%\plesksrvclient.exe" -set <new_password>

Administrator can change password for users in Plesk GUI:

  1. Log into Plesk.
  2. Go to Customers > <customer_name> > Change Login Info.
  3. Enter a new password.
  4. Press Ok.
