It is required to remove nginx from Plesk, but after doing it using Plesk autoinstaller, the following error is shown:

Service /etc/init.d/httpd failed to start
file: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/Service/Driver/Web/Server/Apache.php
line: 100
code: 0
Can not restart web server: Service /etc/init.d/httpd failed to start

The issue is caused by web server misconfiguration after nginx removal.

It is required to disable nginx first before removing it, so to fix the issue:

  1. Install nginx back using Plesk autoinstaller utility (/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller).
  2. Disable it under Tools & Settings > Services Management.
  3. Remove Nginx again using Plesk autoinstaller utility.

NOTE: If you did not try to remove Nginx and just looking for instructions how to do it correctly, simply skip first step.
