  • Applies to:
  • Virtuozzo 6.0
  • Virtuozzo containers for Linux
  • Virtuozzo hypervisor

Symptoms

A Debian (version 6.0/7.0) container stays mounted after rebooting from PVA Power Panel or after using reboot from the container.

Cause

The link to "vzreboot" script does not have the proper priority.
The issue is recognized as a bug with internal ID PCLIN-32229.

Resolution

The permanent fix for the problem will be included in the future product updates.

The following actions fix the issue for a container with ID 101 (it should be running):

# CTID=101
# rm -f /vz/root/$CTID/etc/rc6.d/*vzreboot
# sed -i '/^# Default-Stop:/ s/:.*/: 6/;/^# Default-Start:/ s/:.*/:/' /vz/root/$CTID/etc/init.d/vzreboot
# vzctl exec $CTID update-rc.d vzreboot stop 6 6

To fix all currently running Debian containers on the hardware node:

# for veid in `vzlist -Ho veid,ostemplate | egrep 'debian-6|debian-7' | awk '{print$1}'` ; do rm -f /vz/root/$veid/etc/rc6.d/*vzreboot ; sed -i '/^# Default-Stop:/ s/:.*/: 6/;/^# Default-Start:/ s/:.*/:/' /vz/root/$veid/etc/init.d/vzreboot ; vzctl exec $veid update-rc.d vzreboot stop 6 6 ; done
