When server is being rebooted and services are being stopped, watchdog starts some services. As a result, after reboot some services do not work:

  1. MySQL could not start because /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock was not deleted
  2. httpd shows default Apache page (not Plesk default page)

Watchdog breaks services on server reboot. Watchdog uses system 'init' process to restart itself. This behavior was reported to Maintenance Team as a software issue with id #PPPM-1256.

The issue has been completely fixed in Plesk 12.0.18 MU#50 according to Plesk 12.0.18 Release Notes.

If you use Plesk 11.5.30 upgrade your Plesk to the latest version. If you use Plesk 12 make sure all the latest updates are installed.
