It is not possible to change the system time inside the container:

~# date -s 'Wed Jan 22 16:06:21 NOVT 2015'
date: cannot set date: Operation not permitted
Thu Jan 22 16:06:21 NOVT 2015


Changing system time inside the container is prohibited by default, otherwise the changes will affect all the Containers and the server itself.


However, if you plan to synchronize the time via Network Time Protocol (NTP), it is recommended to do that by creating a dedicated container for that purpose.
