Symptoms

Hardware Clock gives the following error during system boot into vzkernel-2.6.32-042stabXXX kernel

Cannot access the Hardware Clock via any known method.
Use the --debug option to see the details of our search for an assess method.

Cause

Issue will be addressed in scope of PCLIN-29631.

Resolution

  1. Correct /sbin/mkiniitrd:

    diff sbin/mkinitrd /sbin/mkinitrd.new  -u
