How can I find the number of containers running and maximum allowed by Virtuozzo license?
vzlicview console command allows to obtain the details of the installed Virtuozzo license:
# vzlicview Searching for installed licenses... VZSRV owner_name="Name" status="ACTIVE" version=4.0 owner_id=ID hwid="HWID" serial="SERIAL" expiration="04/26/2014 09:00:00" start_date="01/13/2014 09:00:00" issue_date="01/14/2014 14:23:04" graceperiod=43200 (43200) license_update_date="04/16/2014 09:00:00" key_number="VZ.NUMBER" cpu_total=2 (1) ct_total=4 (3) max_vzmc_users="unlimited" max_vzcc_users="unlimited" architecture="x86" architecture="x86_64" platform="Linux" product="Virtuozzo" vzpp_allowed=1 vzagent_allowed=1 backup_mgmt_allowed=1 workflow_mgmt_allowed=1 keyserver_host="ka.virtuozzo.com:5224" nr_vms=0
In this output,
ct_total=4 (3) shows that 4 containers are allowed to run simultaneously by Virtuozzo license, and 3 container are considered running by Virtuozzo License monitor.
The number of containers allowed to run simultaneously can be calculated this way for all Virtuozzo 4.x licenses:
ct_total="MAX CT"+1(if VA option is enabled)
For example, if you buy the license to run maximum 100 containers simultaneously and VA option is enabled for your license, then ct_total=101
For Linux Virtuozzo containers 4.7
The number of currently running containers calculated by Virtuozzo License monitor can be less than the actual number of running container (i.e. obtained by vzlist), as Virtuozzo License monitor exclude running VA container from counting.
For Linux Virtuozzo containers 4.0/4.6
The number of currently running containers calculated by Virtuozzo License monitor is equal to the actual numbers of running container (i.e. obtained by vzlist)
115238 Containers are stopped randomly
