  • Virtuozzo containers for Windows 4.6
  • Virtuozzo containers for Windows 4.5

Symptoms

Files in the directory C:\Users\Adminstrator\.vzl\ (or C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\.vzl\) are big. Is it safe to remove those files?

Resolution

Old vzagent.cache files in C:\Users\Adminstrator\.vzl\ (or C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\.vzl\) folder accumulate over time and might occupy a lot of disk space.

Yes, it is safe to delete those files when PVA Agent is stopped:

  • Stop the PVA Agent service:

    net stop pvaagent

(For old Parallels Infrastructure Management 4.0 or Virtuozzo 3.5 installations, the service name is vzaop.)

  • Manually delete the vzagent.cache.* files from C:\Users\Adminstrator\.vzl\ (or C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\.vzl\) folder.

  • Start the PVA Agent service:

    net start pvaagent
