"Task manager" inside container ("Windows Task Manager > Performance tab > "Physical Memory") shows that "Available/Free" value exceeds the "Total" value, like below:

"Task Manager" will report total cached/available/free memory from the container and from the node. This is a design limitation of Parallels Virtuozzo Containers for Windows and cannot be changed.

As a workaround, the following ways could be used to check memory inside containers:

  1. systeminfo output from the container:

    C:\Users\Administrator>systeminfo | findstr /i memory
    Total Physical Memory: 3,072 MB
    Available Physical Memory: 70 MB
Virtual Memory: Max Size: 3,072 MB
    Virtual Memory: Available: 70 MB
Virtual Memory: In Use: 3,002 MB
  2. Using Virtuozzo command-line utilities:

    C:\Users\Administrator>vzlist <CTID> -o vprvmem,vprvmem.b
     2712.48 3072.00
  3. Parallels Management tools (PVA Management Node, PVA Power Panel, etc.)
