Backup fails for containers running over multipath drive:

[root@node ~]# prlctl backup 999
Backing up the CT 999
Failed to backed up the CT: The backup command for the "999" virtual machine failed with code 25 ("Backup error"). Try to back up the virtual machine again. If the problem persists, contact the Parallels support team for assistance.

To verify whether you are using multipath or not you may check output of multipath command:

[root@node ~]# multipath -ll
mpathb (350002ac0000c207b) dm-0 3PARdata,VV
size=1.7T features='0' hwhandler='0' wp=rw
`-+- policy='round-robin 0' prio=1 status=active
  |- 4:0:0:0 sdb 8:16 active ready running
  |- 4:0:1:0 sdc 8:32 active ready running
  |- 5:0:0:0 sdd 8:48 active ready running
  `- 5:0:1:0 sde 8:64 active ready running

Same container moved to a local drive is backed up properly:

[root@node ~]# vzmlocal --online 999::/root/\$VEID
[root@node ~]# prlctl backup 999
Backing up the CT 999
A full backup is being created for this virtual machine. Though an incremental backup is created by default, it cannot be made because the virtual machine has no full backups.
backup hdd.0 progress: 100%
The CT has been successfully backed up with backup id {03d8084d-3747-425b-a2e5-77f12ee59532}.

This behavior has been recognized as a product bug with internal ID #PSBM-25604. Currently containers located on a multipath device cannot be backed up using prlctl backup tool.

This bug is planned to be fixed in future updates of Parallels Cloud Server. Currently there is no workaround to this issue except for disabling multipath.
