Parallels Virtual Automation Power Panel (VZPP/PVAPP) is not working for all Virtual Machines, Application Error is displayed instead of a web interface.

Checking Power Panel log /var/log/pva/pp/<date>-cpcon.log reveals following error when you attempt to open PVA PP for any Virtual Machine:

05/03/2014 11:46:00.7016170 [637491] : void xslElemDie(xsltTransformContext*, xmlNode*, xmlNode*, xsltElemPreComp*) at xslext/xslutils.cpp:228 : template name='show-os-apps' (param at /var/opt/pva/pp/xsl/lib/vz/vzenv-apps.xsl:35)
template name='body' match='body' (variable at /var/opt/pva/pp/xsl/screens/index.xsl:50)
template match='/' (choose at /var/opt/pva/pp/xsl/screens/index.xsl:36)

05/03/2014 11:46:00.7016460 [637491] : void xslElemDie(xsltTransformContext*, xmlNode*, xmlNode*, xsltElemPreComp*) at xslext/xslutils.cpp:231 : sw:die : message:

                                       Platform '' is unknown.

Meanwhile, OS type is configured correctly for a Virtual Machine.

The root cause of the issue is not identified yet.

Despite the fact root cause is not found yet, the workaround is available - issue can be fixed by re-installing PVA Agent on a hardware node.

Check this article for PVA Agent re-installation instructions.
