Plesk cannot be installed, the following error appears:

    ERROR 1146 (42S02) at line 1: Table 'psa.misc' doesn't exist

Plesk autoinstaller cannot create psa database. Also it is not possible to create database manually:

    # MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` mysql -u admin psa < /usr/local/psa/bootstrapper/pp11.5.30-bootstrapper/db/psa_db.sql

ERROR 1364 (HY000) at line 141: Field 'pname' doesn't have a default value

MySQL server is running in strict mode. If a server runs in strict mode (or you set it in your connection) and you try to insert a NULL value into a column defined as NOT NULL you will get #1364 error. Without strict mode your NULL value will be replaced with empty string or 0.

You can check the strict mode value within the command below:

    # MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` mysqladmin -uadmin variables | grep sql_mode

  1. Add sql_mode="" parameter in the [mysqld] section of /etc/my.cnf file.

  2. Restart mysqld service.
