Symptoms

When I run the "vzlicview" command, it shows that the license has an "INVALID" state:

Processing file "C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Virtuozzo\Licenses\vzlicense.83FF.3C05. 9E3E.9EBA.19F1.BCF8.1B20.D1E5"
VZWIN owner_name="Joe Doe (SWSoft Inc)
status="INVALID"
version=35
owner_id=1363573.0
hwid=93C0.7250.B7F4.11EC.8BE0.1599.C22E.7217
serial=83FF.3C05.9E3E.9EBA.19F1.BCF8.1B20.D1E5
expiration="unlimited"
start_date="02/23/2006 17:25:41"
issue_date="02/24/2006 22:25:42"
graceperiod=300
cpu_power=4
ve_total=30

Cause

The HWID was changed due to the following possible reasons.

Resolution

1. Check your real HWID and compare the returned HWID with the HWID from the "vzlicview" output. If they are not the same, see KB 1206.

2. Make sure that the server date is correct and has not passed the expiration date from the "vzlicview" output.

3. Check the number of CPUs in Windows Task Manager and make sure that it's not less than the "nr_cpus" value of your license ("vzlicview").
