How to configure Passive FTP port range on Windows Server.

To configure Passive FTP mode use the following steps:

  1. Specify passive FTP port range in IIS Manager:

    • In the Connections pane, click the server-level node in the tree;
    • Go to FTP Firewall Support -> Data Channel Port Range -> insert needed port range;
    • Click Apply.
  2. Allow the connection in Windows Firewall for exactly the same port range as specified in step 1.

  3. Restart Microsoft FTP Service:

    net stop "Microsoft FTP Service" && net start "Microsoft FTP Service"
