Plesk upgrade fails with an error:
Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost'
When attempting to set the administrator password via the
'%plesk_bin%\plesksrvclient' utility (launch with no arguments), there is an error:
Failed to connect to MySQL server
Old password entry is present in Plesk registry, or the MySQL database port value is not set.
Check the following values in the Plesk registry hive and make sure they are set as below:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PLESK\PSA Config\Config] "MYSQL_PORT"="8306" "MySQL_DB_PORT"="8306"
Check if the following entry exists:
Remove it if it exists.
