Messages cannot be removed from the Horde inbox.

Deleted emails reappear when you click the Mail link at the top of the page, or click "Show Deleted" under the 'Other' menu. Then, when you click the Hide deleted link, the deleted emails stay there.

Emptying a folder doesn’t purge the messages, but simply marks them all as deleted. There’s no option to purge the messages, so they all reappear the next time you click the Mail link.

In addition, the "When deleting messages, move them to your Trash mailbox instead of marking them as deleted?" checkbox is enabled in the Horde webmail preferences.

The ability to delete message is dependant on IMAP protocol, which was significantly improved in newer versions of MailEnable.

Check the version of MailEnable currently running on the server. To do this, run the following query in CommandLine:

reg query "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mail Enable\Mail Enable" | findstr Version

Then, upgrade MailEnable to the newest supported version possible. Currently, Parallels Plesk Panel 11.5 for Windows supports the following Mail Servers:

  1. MailEnable Standard / Professional / Enterprise 5.10 - 8.0
  2. SmarterMail 6.8 - 12.0 (Please check Known Problems and Limitations part)
  3. IceWarp Mail Server 10.0 - 11.0.0

Upgrade instructions:

  1. Download MailEnable from the Official site.

  2. Perform the installation via CommandLine:

    Standard.exe /IMAP

Please note: usual Mailenable installation will not include the IMAP service and therefore, advisable to upgrade MailEnable with the parameter '/IMAP' to enable the IMAP service.
