Multiple "The antivirus software failure" emails from "DrWeb-DAEMON" are sent:

The filter fails to pass object to the DrWEB daemon

The original message was stored in archive record named:
file was not created

The following error can also be received:

Dear administrator,Your virus bases are not up to date. Please run updating script manually or use cron for this purpose.
Interface binding error (/var/drweb/run/.daemon - Addr....


DrWeb is outdated.


Ran the following script:

# /opt/drweb/

Additionally, please make sure that /etc/cron.d/drweb-update is valid, example is

# cat /etc/cron.d/drweb-update
*/30 * * * * drweb /opt/drweb/

The update task DrWeb may be configured under the Tools & Settings > Scheduled Tasks > drweb.

To stop messaging the output of the update script change the command of the DrWeb update task by inserting a ">/dev/null 2>&1" after the command. Ie. change to:

/opt/drweb/ >/dev/null 2>&1
