Adding Plesk application template to a container takes around an hour or longer:
# vzpkg install CTID pp
Name resolution on the node is slow due to the known RedHat problem with handling parallel IPv4 and IPv6 requests.
During Plesk installation a large number of files are downloaded from
http://autoinstall.plesk.com. Each download attempt adds additional ~5 seconds to the overall installation time.
Apply the solution from this article to speed up the name resolution process for the pp template.
Add the following line to the pre-install script of the 'pp' template:
[root@vz ~]# diff -pruN /vz/template/centos/6/x86_64/config/app/pp/default/pre-install.orig /vz/template/centos/6/x86_64/config/app/pp/default/pre-install --- /vz/template/centos/6/x86_64/config/app/pp/default/pre-install.orig 2014-06-17 03:34:28.141249272 +0700 +++ /vz/template/centos/6/x86_64/config/app/pp/default/pre-install 2014-06-17 03:34:40.928736787 +0700 @@ -19,4 +19,6 @@ touch /var/lock/parallels-panel-apply-mi # Workaround for mysql bug during Plesk templates caching (at least on cos6x64) [ "$APP_CACHE" = "1" -a ! -f /etc/sysconfig/network ] && touch /etc/sysconfig/network +echo "options single-request-reopen" >> /etc/resolv.conf + true
