Cause

The file system of the container got corrupted. There is no universal cause for such issues and particular cases need to be investigated separately.

Potential root causes include:

  • File system corruption on the node's disk,
  • Power outage resulting in an unexpected operating system shutdown,
  • Host operating system crash,
  • Errors in NTFS driver,
  • ...

Resolution

Restore the container from a backup.

If there is no backup available, you can attempt to restore data using 3rd-party Data Recovery tools which are capable of recovering data from an image file.
