  1. What's Included in This Update

    The new packages for Parallels Virtuozzo Containers provide fixes for user-level Container management tools.

  2. Problem Description

    The new packages contain fixes for the following issues:

    • PCLIN-28649: License updates are attempted within too small of a time frame

    • PCLIN-31402: Cannot migrate Containers from Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.7 to Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.0

    • PCLIN-31490: /etc/rc6.d/S00vzreboot should be a symlink

    • PCLIN-31499: vzlicmonitor memory usage increases with time

    • PCLIN-31538: Caching the openSUSE 12.2 EZ template may fail under certain conditions

    • PCLIN-31566: Container fails to start if no devices are specified in the RATE variable in the Container's configuration file

    • PCLIN-31589: The length of the BINDMOUNT variable value is limited to 512 bytes in Containers' configuration files

    • PCLIN-31603: The network adapter of a newly created Container may be assigned a non-unique MAC address

    • PCLIN-31694: Container restoration from backup may fail if the backup was created when rpmdb was locked

    • PCLIN-31697: The vzctl stop command may crash under certain conditions

    All Parallels Virtuozzo Containers users are advised to update their tools packages.

  3. Obtaining the Update

    You can download and install this tools update using the "vzup2date" utility included in the Parallels Containers 4.7 distribution.

  4. Installing the Update

    Use the "vzup2date" command to install the new Parallels Virtuozzo Containers tools packages.

    The update does not require a Parallels Virtuozzo Containers restart or system reboot.
