Container cannot be restored from a backup to a new CTID. Restoration fails with the following error message:
C:\Users\Administrator>vzarestore -B -e 326a28e5-f1e5-4aee-a38d-399396468e04\20140623043753:1123059 --storage firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com's password: Restoring existing Container from a backup of another Container is not supported
Container "1123059" already exists on the node.
When restoring a backup of some container to a new container ID (
vzarestore -B -e CTID:NewCTID) - make sure there is no container with the NewCTID on the node, for example:
C:\Users\Administrator>vzlist 100500 ERROR: Container 100500 does not exist Container not found.
NOTE: check the version of PVA Agent on the node.
The option to restore the backup to a new container ID has been added to
vzarestore starting with 4.6.1734 version.
